Discover Movement is about a journey into the miraculous human movement with a purpose of finding treasures, the true principles of movement, in order to guide and coach our athletes and clients towards their individual movement potential, health and successful performance. 

Discover Movement was founded originally founded by Tommi Paavola and Alex Chemerov. Alex later started Movements 4 Life -personal training studio and Tommi continued developing Discover Movement.

Discover Movement aims to coach an athlete to their true movement potential by assessing one's functional movement capacity, by identifying the essential sport specific needs and by creating the training environment and program that sets the athlete up for success and optimal performance.

METHODS:

Discover Movement utilizes a variety of tools and techniques, that are rooted in Applied Functional Science (AFS).

Applied Functional Science is a combination of Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, and Behavioral Sciences. It utilizes an approach Principles ‐Strategies ‐Techniques process (PST) for functional assessment, training and conditioning, rehabilitation, and injury prevention that is practical and functional for all individuals regardless of age or ability.

The principles of AFS are integrated with neuromusculoskeletal Chain Reaction™ biomechanics, that lead to powerful strategies and techniques for improving movement, function and performance.
